Mullite brick is a high-alumina refractory material with mullite (Al2O3•SiO2) as the main crystalline phase, and the average alumina content is between 65% and 75%. In addition to mullite, the mineral composition also contains a small amount of glass and quartz with a lower alumina; the one with a higher alumina content contains a small amount of corundum. The refractoriness is higher, up to 1790℃. The under load starting temperature 1600～1700℃. The room temperature crushing strength is 70～260MPa. Good thermal shock resistance.
